On arrival at Medan International Airport, your driver will meet you at the arrival hall, and drive you to Bukit Lawang village. Rest for the day or explore the village at your own leisure.
Day 02 – BUKIT LAWANG: OVERNIGHT JUNGLE TREK [B/L/D]
Begin trekking with your private guide in the UNESCO World Heritage Gunung Leuser National Park and one of the rare places in the world where you can observe the critically endangered Sumatran orangutan in their natural habitat. The national park is also home to a variety of some species of rare and exotic flowers, plants, trees and wildlife including birds, reptiles, mammals, butterflies, pigtail macaques, flying squirrels, hornbills and amphibians. For an authentic jungle experience, you will camp the night in the jungle.
Day 03 – BUKIT LAWANG: JUNGLE TREK [B/L]
Continue trekking with your guide and finally return to Bukit Lawang by “tube rafting” down the river.
Day 04 – BUKIT LAWANG: TANGKAHAN ELEPHANT CAMP [B/L]
Head to Tangkahan Elephant Camp with your private driver and guide. Enroute, you will pass palm oil plantations, rural villages, and stunning scenery, where you can make stops along the way. At the elephant camp, enjoy the experience of washing the elephants in the river.
Day 05 – BUKIT LAWANG – MEDAN AIRPORT [B]
Your driver will send you to Medan Airport for your return flight.
