5D4N Vietnam Phu Quoc
Day 01 – PHU QUOC AIRPORT – PHU QUOC

On arrival at Phú Quốc Airport, your driver will meet you at the arrival hall and drive you to your hotel.  Phú Quốc (also known as “Pearl Island”) is the largest Vietnamese island and famous for sunset views, white sandy beaches and its southwest coast lined with palm trees.  More than half of the island is part of the Phú Quốc National Park featuring mountains, dense tropical jungle, hiking trails and wildlife.  Rest and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 02 – PHU QUOC   [B/D]

Free and easy in the morning.  In the late afternoon, head to the harbour for a private sunset cruise and squid fishing after nightfall.  Thereafter, dinner (included) will be served on board the boat.  After returning to the harbour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 03 – PHU QUOC   [B]

Today, an English-speaking driver/guide will take you on a private tour of Phú Quốc Island.  Phú Quốc Island is famous not only for its beautiful scenery but also its traditional fish sauce factories producing Vietnam’s most famous premium fish sauce which is sold both locally and worldwide.  After visiting the fish sauce factory, continue on to visit a cultured pearl farm, and the Phú Quốc Prison (also known as “Coconut Tree Prison” and now a (war) museum).

Thereafter, head to the Bai Sao Beach with white powdery sand, clear turquoise sea, swaying palm trees and jungle backdrop.  There are also a couple of bars to enjoy a cocktail or two whilst gazing out into the open ocean.

No visit to Phú Quốc Island is complete without visiting the picturesque Ham Ninh Fishing Village where you will feel the primitive and rustic lifestyle of the fishermen with their thatched cottages with bamboo walls.

The next highlight is a breathtaking experience on a 15-minute cable car ride (tickets included) from Phú Quốc Island to Hon Thom, also known as Pineapple Island, on the newly-opened Hon Thom Cable Car.  At almost 8km long, the Phu Quoc cable car is also the longest non-stop three-way cable car in the world, as verified by the Guinness Book of World Records.  Spectacular aerial views of beautiful beaches and boats can be seen from the cable car.

Day 04 – PHU QUOC   [B]

Enjoy Phú Quốc today at your own leisure.  You may wish to relax at the hotel/beach/spa or do some shopping at Phú Quốc Island’s busiest and largest outdoor market, Duong Dong Market, where you can witness the local lifestyle and see throngs of fishing boats drop off freshly-caught seafood such as eel, squid, mackerel, barracuda and shellfish, in the early morning to be sold by local vendors at the wet zone of this market.  Duong Dong Market also houses plenty of food stalls serving fruit juices and Vietnamese cuisine at relatively low prices.  Must-tries include banh tet (Vietnamese Cylindrical Sticky Rice Cake), echinus (sea urchin) porridge, and raw herring salad.  The best time to visit is in the early morning, where you can see the locals bargaining hard for household items, fresh and dried seafood, meats, sweets and fruits from mainland Vietnam.

Day 05 – PHU QUOC – PHU QUOC AIRPORT  [B]

Free time until your transfer to Phu Quoc Airport for your departure flight.
