Day 02 – KYOTO  [B]

After breakfast, continue to visit some of Kyoto’s famous attractions.  Highlights include: Arashiyama Bamboo Grove (paths lined with endless rows of towering bamboo and Japan’s most famous bamboo forest), Kinkaku-ji (“Golden Pavilion” and probably one of Kyoto’s most iconic sites) and photo-stops at Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace

Day 03 – KYOTO – OSAKA  [B]

Depart Kyoto and travel to Osaka, a port city renowned for its food culture, nightlife and traditional temples and monuments.  Go on a walking tour to visit some of Osaka’s top tourist attractions including the Osaka Castle (one of Japan’s most iconic monument with a history that dates back almost 450 years) and Dotonbori, an incredibly vibrant and colourful district by day and most certainly by night.

Day 04 – OSAKA – NARA – OSAKA  [B]

After breakfast, travel to Nara, the first capital of Japan.  Highlights at Nara include: Todai-ji (a magnificent Buddhist temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Nara’s famous deer park (where you can mingle with and even feed the free roaming deer).

Day 05 – OSAKA  [B]

After breakfast, visit the Floating Garden Observatory at the iconic Umeda Sky Building for a bird eye’s view of Osaka’s cityscape.  Take a ride on the HEP Five Ferris Wheel, another famous landmark of Osaka.  Thereafter, go on a boat ride on the Aqua-Liner, a specially designed cruise boat with a glass roof affording unimpeded views of Osaka’s cityscape including some of its iconic monuments and structures as it cruises along the Okawa River.  End the day at the popular shopping district of Shinsaibashi.  As one of the busiest and oldest shopping streets in Japan, it stretches some 600m long and is packed with trendy boutiques, high-end retailers, traditional crafts and kimono shops and endless selection of gourmet restaurants and cafes.
