6D5N Thailand Khao Yai & Bangkok
Day 01 – BANGKOK AIRPORT – KHAO YAIUpon arrival at Bangkok Airport, head towards Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Thailand’s third largest national park covering an area in excess of 2,000 sq km and spanning 4 provinces. In addition to its dense flora and exotic fauna, Khao Yai is renowned for among others its mountains with viewpoints, impressive waterfalls and rivers offering white-water rafting opportunities during the rainy season. Thanks to its proximity to the national park, the town of Pak Chong and the several resorts around it serve as a popular base for visitors to the park. Enjoy some shopping time in Pak Chong (it has both day and night markets). Dinner (own expense) is recommended at the highly popular Ban Mai Chay Nam – a restaurant cum museum and hotel!
Day 02 – KHAO YAI [B]
In the morning, head into the national park to visit the Haew Suwat Waterfall, probably Khao Yai’s most popular waterfall, and also to enjoy panoramic views of the national park from the Pha Diao Dai Viewpoint. In addition to a winery tour of PB Valley Estate, the oldest and largest vineyard in Khao Yai, activities after lunch include visits to “The Bloom by TV Pool”, a huge floral garden (reputedly Thailand’s largest), and “Primo Piazza”, a Tuscan village-themed attraction. Dinner is recommended at the very atmospheric Midwinter that is designed like a European castle serving Thai and western food.
Day 03 – KHAO YAI – BANGKOK [B]
Attractions for today include: (1) Manee Sorn Sunflower Fields or Hokkaido Flower Park; (2) Secret Art Garden, a garden with lots of artwork whimsically positioned and displayed; (3) Khao Yai Panorama Farm, a mushroom farm; (4) Thames Valley Cafe, a resort reminiscent of an English village; and (5) Chocolate Factory which serves great food in addition to selling chocolates. No visit to Khao Yai is complete without a visit to the Premium Outlet – a typical outlet shopping centre with merchandise from both local and international retailers. In the late afternoon or early evening, depart Khao Yai and head to Bangkok.
Day 04 – BANGKOK [B]
Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, ranks highly as a top tourist destination in SE Asia. With its huge malls, bustling local markets, colourful nightlife, highly delectable local cuisine and no less its beautiful cultural monuments, Bangkok is a city that beckons. Enjoy a day on your own in Bangkok.
Day 05 – BANGKOK [B]
Enjoy Bangkok at your own leisure.
Day 06 – DEPART BANGKOK [B]
