Day 02 – SIGIRIYA – KANDY  [B/D]

Day 03 – KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA  [B/D]

‘ template=’/home/atlastra/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery.php’ order_by=’sortorder’ order_direction=’ASC’ returns=’included’ maximum_entity_count=’500′]Visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens near Kandy, renowned for its collection of orchids and formerly reserved exclusively for the Kandyan royal family.  Next, head to the picturesque mountain resort town of Nuwara Eliya (2,070m), also known as “Little England”, and certainly well-known for its evergreen grass and colonial British-style architecture of red brick-walled country houses and half-timber huts.  Enroute to Nuwara Eliya, as the road starts to ascend and tea plantations and teas factories come into sight, you can appreciate why Sri Lanka is known as “The Tea Country”.  Visit a working tea factory and plantation to learn the entire process of how the world-renown Ceylon tea is produced … and perhaps become a tea expert!

Day 04 – NUWARA ELIYA – YALA NATIONAL PARK  [B/D]

‘ template=’/home/atlastra/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery.php’ order_by=’sortorder’ order_direction=’ASC’ returns=’included’ maximum_entity_count=’500′]Descend Nuwara Eliya passing through scenic hilly country roads towards the jungles of Yala and through the town of Ella.  Ella is a picturesque small town on the southern edge of the Tea Country, sitting on the countryside with vegetable plots in the valleys, tea plantations on the hill slopes and forest trees on the hilltops.  Also visit the Ravana Falls, where the lengendary princess Sita supposedly bathed whilst in captivity.  The waterfalls are 25m high and cascades from an oval shaped rock.  Continue on to the Yala National Park.

Day 05 – YALA NATIONAL PARK – WELIGAMA  [B/D]
